I am the director and general editor of the Thomas A. Edison Papers at Rutgers University. We have an online digital image edition that currently contains a searchable database of approximately 148,750 document records, 23,950 names, and 6,350 volume and folder descriptions along with about 200,000 images from approximately 90,000 documents. We are currently considering developing a project around a catalog of Edison's library and an index to his marginalia found in the books. In addition, we would like to add additional materials such as our biographical files and to make selected groups of documents available for teaching. The Edison Papers is also part of the Digital HPS, which is seeking to develop new tools for digital humanities projects in the history and philosophy of science and technology.
